The lyricism central to the massive original from Jah Cure and Don Corleon here takes on contrasting interpretations as DJ Die associate Interface sculpts it into a breathless roller propelled by weighty bass stabs interspersed with dramatic, reverberated vocal segments and pads. Visionary’s sophisticated rolling, musical jungle version employs large portions of the original vocals at original tempo; they’re joined gradually by building drum programming and interrupted by police sirens and rude boy drops at key moments to create something simultaneously faithful to the original and also transformative. With two new and anthemic versions of a tune already regarded as a hit, Liondub International comes full force to usher in a slew of new fire for 2015 and beyond.
